John joined Sterling in 2015 with the primary objective of developing cross laminated timber (CLT) manufacturing technology for all facilities. He then launched this technology successfully within both the Phoenix, IL (2016) and Lufkin, TX (2019) operations. John has an extensive quality assurance background and his development of the Factory Production Control Manual for the CLT lines is helping Sterling CLT products achieve certification under PRG-320 and an Industrial CLT specification. He has been involved in executive level guidance of manufacturing facilities in the automotive, consumer products, electronics, and wood processing industries. John holds a bachelor’s degree from Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan.
